GOLDEN RULES
1. BE ON TIME – When the late bell rings and you walk in after – YOU’RE LATE. You will receive a detention if you’re late. I expect everyone in their assigned seat when the bell rings.
2. GREETINGS: SAY GOOD MORNING- HELLO, HOW ARE YOU?
3. ADMITS – are to be placed on my desk in the beginning of the period. This is your responsibility. Serve detentions and give me the detention paper when they are due. I do follow up on these.

4. PENCILS – Should be sharpened at the beginning of the period. Check your pencils before you sit down in your seat.

5. CALCULATORS/TABLETS - Make sure you have your calculators AND TABLETS before coming to class!
6. TALKING – Do not talk during my lectures. You may talk with other students when given permission by me or when working within groups. NO bad language of any kind in my room. ABSOLUTELY NO TALKING DURING ANNOUNCEMENTS. NO GUM IN building 5.

7. CLASS / HOMEWORK – ALL WORK MUST INCLUDE YOUR NAME, DATE & PERIOD (N-D-P) ON THE TOP RIGHT SIDE OF ALL PAPERS. Homework is DUE by the NEXT CLASS and the grade will go directly into the gradebook.

8. BATHROOM – Go before and after class. If it is necessary for you to leave the room (an emergency), you must earn that privilege by doing your work first. Hand up to ask for the pass. *You get 3 passes/quarter. Warning:--Sign the date and time on the bathroom sign-out sheet or lose privileges!!!!!!!

9. CLEANLINESS – Keep your learning environment clean. You will be able to think better. Throw out garbage around your desk – YES! even IF it isn’t yours! Do not throw any object across the room. Also, keep your desks in neat rows with all books and backpacks under your desk. The aisle should be clear for me to walk through.

10. NO MAKE-UP, PERFUME, PHONES, MP3 PLAYERS - If your cell phone rings during class, you will receive a detention. Turn off your cell before you arrive in my class. Excessive violations will be brought to the attention of school administrators. IF I ask for your phone-give it up immediately.
11. QUESTIONS? – RAISE your hand. Do not shout out. Excessive noise will not be tolerated. IF necessary, call my name- Ms. Golden not MISS!! Stay in your seats.

12. DISMISSAL – I DISMISS YOU - THE BELL DOESN’T. Wait for me to say GO!
Come prepared to work hard in my class. This is your job, your future. No one is going to give you something you don’t earn. Work hard now. You’ll get paid for your hard work later! If you need my help, just ask. Anytime.
