Materials needed for Professor Golden’s Strategies for Success Course
-3-ring binder / filled with an abundance of lined paper
-2 #2 pencils / erasers / 2 pens (always have a backup) / highlighter
-an agenda / your device everyday
*A great attitude and a desire to learn, grow and use critical thinking skills.

*Heading on every paper you hand in – Name, date, and period (N-D-P)

Grading Scale
A= 90 – 100
B= 80 – 89
C= 70 – 79
D= 60 – 69
F= Below 60

CLASSWORK
Everyday, in every class you are evaluated by me. When you are working productively, you can expect a good classwork grade in my class. This will include any involvement/ participation in class tasks.

BINDER
You are required to maintain a notebook throughout the semester. Your binder will be checked for organization, detailed note taking from videos and all chapters covered including classwork assignments. Bring your binder to class everyday and have plenty of paper. Put your name, date and period (N-D-P) on the upper right corner of all your notes. Don't forget to title and underline your notes.

QUIZZES / TESTS
Expect several quizzes on the topics covered in class. Expect the unexpected with unannounced "pop" quizzes. Always pay attention and ask questions if you don't understand something, and this will keep you prepared.

ABSENCES
If you are absent from this class, it is your responsibility to obtain any and all notes, homework assignments, and notification of exams. Also, to change your absence from unexcused to excused – you must provide me with an admit or note from home within 48 hours of the absence.
